Linda is an oil painter based in New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Always a creative soul, she has painted in oils on and off since a teenager, taking continuing ed courses from RISD and studying with various New England artists, including Anthony Tomaselli, Judy Vilmain, Dennis Sheehan, Caleb Stone.
Shortly after graduating from law school in 1994, she decided to stay home and raise her two children. She returned to oil painting part-time until her daughter became involved in theatre. She then focused her creativity on painting sets and creating costumes for local high schools performances and semi-professional theaters for 10 years. In 2018, she left theatre and returned to her oil painting exclusively.
An avid hiker, completing all the 4000 footers in New Hampshire, she enjoys painting scenes from her hikes and the beauty she finds in nature, as well as hiking themed still life paintings. She has always had a passion for animals and vintage objects and also enjoys painting animal portraits, animals in their environment, and still life paintings showcasing her curious finds.
